NUSTAR Golf 2026 draws biggest field

NUSTAR Golf 2026 concluded on a high note at the picturesque Alta Vista Golf and Country Club on July 30 and 31, bringing together nearly 200 golfers for two days of friendly competition, camaraderie, and championship golf in its third edition.

This year’s tournament welcomed one of its largest fields yet, drawing participants from Cebu, across the Philippines, and overseas.

Featuring a strong mix of seasoned amateurs, corporate partners, and media guests, the event tested teamwork and strategy through a 2-man scramble format across three divisions.

Competitors played under the System 36 handicapping format, vying not only for division titles but also for popular on-course prizes—including Nearest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Most Accurate Drive, Longest Putt, and the highly anticipated Hole-in-One Challenge.

Emerging as champions in Division I were Junhan Kim and Jeric Rei Abutazil who carded a winning score of 65, edging out Park Jungsu and Yoo Jisu and Kim Kibum and Marciana Garcia. In Division II, Jan Piolo Obial and George Benito Aratea IV claimed top honors with a of 66, followed by Kelvin Tan and Justin Beltram Calvo Ybanez and Park Hwychang and Lee Hyungwha.

Adding excitement to the tournament, players also competed for Special Awards across the course. Kim Kwangryu claimed Nearest to the Pin on Hole #2, Park Jungsu claimed Nearest to the Pin on Hole #6, Nearest to the Pin in Hole #8 was claimed by Lee Donghyeok, Nearest to the Pin in Hole #13 was claimed by Corky Fernandez, and Nearest to the Pin in Hole #15 is Kim Junhan, while Gabriell Pasion captured Longest Drive on Hole #10. Mark Cabanlit earned Most Accurate Drive on Hole #11, and Park Junhee impressed with the Longest Putt on Hole #18.

More than a golf tournament, the event highlights NUSTAR’s commitment to building strong partnerships and elevated experiences—further positioning Cebu as a top destination for sports tourism and luxury lifestyle events.
