Carmelle Collado will represent the Philippines at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia after winning the country’s selection event on Sunday.
The former “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion earned the spot after performing the song “Sobra-Sobra,” which was written by Nica del Rosario and Mat Olavides.
Carmelle topped the Philippine Selection Night at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, where 10 songs competed for the chance to represent the country in Bangkok.
Saga finished runner-up with “Broken Beyond Repair,” composed by Angelo Gonzales and JM dela Cerna, while Marielle Montellano placed third with “Mapadama” by Jeremy Glinoga and Jungée Marcelo.
Vice Ganda, Alexa Ilacad, and Darren Espanto hosted the national selection.
Carmelle now moves on to the international competition, where she will perform “Sobra-Sobra” against entries from other participating countries.
The inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia will be held on Nov. 14, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.
