TP in the Philippines has expanded its Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy training under its Skills Training to Employment Program (TP STEP) to prepare job applicants for the changing demands of the IT-BPM industry.
The enhanced program, implemented with nonprofit CyberGuardiansPH, incorporates AI Ready ASEAN modules covering AI fundamentals, digital responsibility and emerging workplace technologies.
Under TP STEP, trainees undergo a 15-day program covering employability, customer experience and AI literacy. Graduates gain practical exposure to digital tools and technologies increasingly used in the workplace.
TP is implementing the program with the Pasig City Government to improve employability and provide pathways to IT-BPM careers.
“As AI continues to reshape industries globally, it is important that workforce development programs evolve alongside these advancements,” said TP in the Philippines vice president for human resources Rachel Cacabelos.
“By integrating AI literacy into TP STEP, we are helping ensure that more applicants gain meaningful exposure to the technologies that are becoming part of everyday operations in the customer experience and business services sector,” she said.
CyberGuardiansPH executive director Paolo Sangil said AI readiness and cybersecurity awareness are becoming essential skills in the digital economy.
The program forms part of TP’s workforce development and digital upskilling initiatives as the company marks 30 years of operations in the Philippines.
