Gehlee Dangca pushed back against the idea that returning to the Philippines after UNIS means losing career momentum.
The Filipina singer came home following the group’s disbandment on Sept. 26 and said she hopes people will not see the move as a setback.
“I just wish the people wouldn’t see me coming home to the Philippines as a losing opportunity,” Gehlee told ABS-CBN News.
She said the Philippines remains home and that reconnecting with family, friends and her hometown is part of her decision.
“Home ko rin ang Pinas. I am here to be connected to the people, to my hometown and my family, my friends to catch up with them. And also my priority is to study rin po.”
Gehlee also assured fans that she plans to stay active after UNIS.
“I will not disappear ever, so please don’t worry about it. And my bond with my sisters will always be so strong.”
She has yet to reveal her next projects. — Jasper Valdez
