National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag on Thursday, October 1, said a lie detector test showed no sign of deceit in the September 14 sworn affidavit of former patrolman Rodulfo Gracioso Jr.
Matibag said the NBI found that Gracioso showed “no specific physiological reactions indicative of deception to the relevant questions” during the examination conducted on Wednesday, September 30.
The NBI’s finding was based on its evaluation of Gracioso’s physiological responses during the polygraph examination.
Meanwhile, Matibag confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte, former House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, and his wife, Rowena Velasco, have been invited to appear before the NBI on October 5, 2026. — Gwyneth Nolasco
