The 19-year-old Derla drew 8.5 points from her performance to top the event.
Cambodian Chanchhorvy Puth finished second with 8.47 points while Indonesian Delsya Anggrani completed the podium with 8.42 points.
Three more Filipino kun bokator athletes won medals as Mark James Lacao, Alyssa Kylie Mallari, and Richein Yosorez performed well in their respective events.
Lacao notched the silver medal in the men’s bamboo shield form where he tallied 7.75 points.
Yosorez, likewise, copped the silver medal as she scored 8.25 points in female barehand form.
Mallari, meanwhile, clinched the bronze in the female bokator spirit form with 8.75 points.
Mallari, however, was later stripped of the medal. She was supposed to win silver but the organizers accepted Myanmar’s protest and gave the silver to Burmese Nilar Soe Oo instead.
Oo originally scored 8.08 points.
Mallari and Oo’s new scores weren’t indicated in the official tally after the protest.
