Viewers can look forward to the couple trying delectable Korean dishes, exploring Korean beauty, and visiting popular destinations such as a famous BTS bus stop and a filming location from the hit K-drama series “Goblin.”

“We want viewers to have the chance to experience South Korea, especially since many Filipinos are fans of K-pop and K-drama. Once we air the episode, they will be inspired to explore what we have shown on ‘Biyahe ni Drew.’ We will provide them with useful options for their future travels,” Arellano said.

Since 2013, Biyahe ni Drew has established itself as the go-to travel magazine show on television. The program has proudly featured all regions of the Philippines and has visited at least 14 countries, including Japan, Singapore, Jordan, Israel, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

‘Biyahe ni Drew’ celebrates its 10th anniversary with back-to-back specials in South Korea. Joining the host is his wife Iya Villana-Arellano.

As a host who is always up for anything, Arellano has embarked on thrilling and extreme adventures such as skydiving, free diving, scuba diving, rock climbing, canyoneering, e-foiling, surfing, paragliding and scaling a vertical bivouac. He has also immersed himself in nature by swimming with sharks, whale sharks, sea turtles, and millions of sardines, as well as engaging in dolphin watching, bat watching, and more.

Aside from showcasing must-see places and activities during trips, Biyahe ni Drew advocates for responsible travel, sustainable tourism, respect for local culture, and appreciation for the hardworking members of the tourism industry.

Having hosted Biyahe ni Drew for a decade and counting, Arellano has undeniably left his mark as the “ultimate biyahero.”

“I feel proud to be regarded as the ‘ultimate biyahero’ because it’s not just me — it’s mostly my team. It’s such an honor to host a travel show for this long, to experience beautiful places, savor delicious food, and meet interesting people along the way. If I could continue doing this for another 10 years, that would be awesome,” the host said humbly.

In 2023, ‘Biyahe ni Drew’ will continue to promote local travel and Philippine tourism. Additionally, the show will venture abroad again, heading to Bali, Indonesia for a budget-friendly and Instagram-worthy cultural immersion. The team is also planning a visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, where Drew will be accompanied by another surprise celebrity guest.

Biyahe ni Drew airs every Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on GTV. Global Pinoys can also catch it on the GMA International channels, GMA Pinoy TV, and GMA Life TV.
