Creamline turns back F2, stays unbeaten in PVL Invitationals

Creamline dug deep from its championship experience to turn back F2 Logistics, 12-25, 25-15, 23-25, 30-28, 15-7, in its semifinals opener and remain unbeaten in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Thursday, July 20.

The defending champs avoided a total meltdown in the fourth set and left the Cargo Movers in the dust in the fifth frame as they raced to a 9-1 lead following an Alyssa Valdez off the block hit and eventually winning the match.

Per this conference’s rule, a semifinalist carries over its record against that other semis-bound team from their pool play action. In Creamline’s case, it defeated PLDT in pool A and brought a 1-0 record in the semis.

Thursday’s win gave Creamline a 2-0 mark in the semis.

The Cargo Movers, on the other hand, fell to 1-1. They defeated the Cignal HD Spikers in the pool B eliminations before losing to the Cool Smashers.

F2 Logistics and Cignal are now tied at 1-1 after the Cargo Movers won over PLDT in the other semifinals opener on Thursday.
