Kurashiki defeats Kinh in battle of foreign teams in PVL

Kurashiki Ablaze of Japan defeated Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh of Vietnam, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-11, in the battle of debuting foreign guest teams in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference campaign at the PhilSports Arena on Saturday, July 22.

Tamaru Asaka got herself a Philippine debut to remember as she pumped in 29 points on 28 attacks and one block to lead the Japanese team which rose to 1-0.

Huong Nguyen dropped 14 points to pace Kinh, which fell to 0-1.
