‘Makialam tayo!:’ ‘CIA with BA’ reminds viewers to care for each other

“Hindi pwedeng wala tayong pakialam sa isa’t-isa dahil ‘pag nagbuklod-buklod tayo, we become stronger.”

This is what award-winning TV host Boy Abunda had to say as he shared his realization from the complaints he took on together with sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano in the recent episode of ‘CIA with BA.’

Among these complaints is from Rosalie, who sought the public service program’s help and advice in the segment ‘Payong Kapatid.’ She graduated from her school seven years ago but she could not claim her transcript of records and diploma, which she needs for job application, because unfortunately, the school is now closed.

At the end of the segment, it was revealed that the school was not accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to offer tertiary education programs, including the course Rosalie finished. Through the help of CHED Regional Director Julieta Paras, Rosalie was endorsed to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the possibility of being given the appropriate credentials.

Meanwhile, Rosalie’s complaint also served as the voice of about a thousand graduates from the same school who have had the same bad experience.

“That’s what makes us human. We are God’s creation. I think we all are put here for a reason so when we hear those stories about people na [inuuna] niya or [pina]-prioritize niya ‘yung ikabubuti ng ibang tao, it makes me happy about being a human,” Senator Pia said.

“May mga tao talaga na, ‘wag mo akong pakialaman, hindi mo ito buhay.’ Pero meron talagang mga tao na hindi pwedeng hindi makialam lalo na kung at stake ang kapakanan ng [iba],“ Abunda for his part said.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano.

The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program ‘Compañero y Compañera,’ which aired from 1997 to 2001.

‘CIA with BA’ airs every Sunday at 11:30 p.m. on GMA7.
