Fashion designer Ivarluski Aseron to headline the comeback of Red Charity Gala

After its hiatus due to the pandemic, the fashion gala returns to continue its mission

Fashion for a purpose—that’s what the Red Charity Gala is all about. Since its inception in 2009, the event, led by philanthropists and society mavens Tessa Prieto and Kaye Tinga, has been using style to help the projects of The Philippine Red Cross, a non-profit humanitarian organization, and the Assumption HS81 Foundation, among other chosen beneficiaries. After its three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the gala is set to make a comeback this year.

Through the years, its stage has featured the best of Filipino fashion. Noted designers such as Rajo Laurel, Joey Samson, Chito Vijandre, Lesley Mobo, Jojie Lloren, Ezra Santos, Cary Santiago, Michael Cinco, Furne One, and Dennis Lustico have showcased their masterpieces to support the gala’s causes. This time, the Red Charity Gala will be headlined by Filipino fashion designer Ivarluski Aseron.

Aseron is one of the country’s most celebrated fashion designers known for his structured, minimal, and experimental style. In his latest collection, he paid homage to the Philippine culture with his modern takes on the Filipiniana, incorporating the basket weaving technique typical of the banig. For the gala’s 2023 edition, the fashion designer will be unveiling his “A Memoir in Motion” collection.

The 2023 Red Charity Gala will take place at The Peninsula Manila on Oct. 8. To know more about it, visit @redcharitygala on Instagram.
