Kisame is a surprise hit, rising to the No. 1 spot of Spotify’s Viral 50 Philippines after days-long hot streak. The song has since jumped onto a bigger playlist of Spotify namely the Top 50 Philippines and currently sits with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd hits and other local hot tracks like Rob Deniel’s “Ang Pag-ibig,” Up Dharma Down’s resurging hit “Tadhana” to name a few.

Rhodessa herself said that she can’t believe how much “Kisame” has achieved for her.

The single catapulted the artist to unprecedented heights, landing her the coveted number one spot on the Viral 50 Philippines chart. This achievement is a significant milestone since her debut with Viva Records in 2021, showcasing her growth as an artist.

The single’s success has even surpassed her previous release, “Isa Dalawa Tatlo,” with more than seven million streams on Spotify alone.

Her distinctive sound, a captivating blend of mellow alternative pop, is beautifully showcased in the Miguel Antonio Sonza and Hiro Kobari-directed music video produced by Viva Records.

The official Kisame music video made its premiere on the Viva Records YouTube channel at 6 p.m., July 21. To date, the music video garners an average of 20,000 views per day since its premiere.

Rhodessa was full of gratitude for her listeners who supported her Kisame phase, “Thank you to the kisamenians [what her own fandom called themselves] who have been with me every step of the way.”

Kisame has resonated so deeply with audiences that it has cemented Rhodessa’s popularity as a young songwriter amongst OPM fans.
