Award-winning fintech platform supports back-to-school program

Digido Finance Corp. (DFC), operator of award-winning consumer finance platform Digido and in-app and in-store installment solutions provider UnaCash, organized a dispatch of back-to-school essentials in support of the country’s annual Brigada Eskwela campaign.

“One’s education is directly correlated to one’s degree of participation in the financial ecosystem. Through this initiative, we aim to make change by removing immediate barriers in the way of students’ focus on learning and upskilling,” said Digido country manager Farit Shakirov.

Team DFC distributes school supplies to public school students.

Held last August 24, 2023, DFC management and employees handed over notebooks, writing and coloring materials, a variety of other supplementary materials to 230 students of Malanday Elementary School in Marikina City,  one of the public schools affected by recent typhoons.

The initiative aligns with 2 pivotal Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations – quality education and reduce inequalities.

“Endeavors such as Brigada Eskwela are an opportunity to invest in the bedrock of enduring education, and by extension, holistic maturation. The organization is more than pleased to offer its assistance for such initiatives within the best of our abilities,” added Aleksei Kosenko, president of UnaCash.

The Department of Education (DepEd) kicked-off this year’s Brigada Eskwela in August in time for school opening.
