Marian Rivera is not just the reigning Primetime Queen — she can also be hailed as the queen of TikTok dance trends.

Although the 39-year-old joined the app in 2022, it was only with her dance video for “Price Tag,” which garnered 187 million views after its upload on August 10, that she gained following even outside the country. This success was followed by her “It’s Plenty” dance, which reached 123 million views.

Her videos quickly went viral worldwide, particularly in Vietnam, where she gained fame for her iconic teleseryes that were also aired there.

Despite this newfound popularity online, Rivera remains remarkably humble, “I didn’t want to dance at first. I was shy. But I thought, ‘Let’s give it a try. To the left, to the right.’ And there it was.”

“For me, the key is to be myself when dancing. I genuinely enjoy it. I guess for those who know me, they know that I really love dancing. I just brought it back.”

Showcasing these dance moves in real life, Rivera delighted mallgoers at the launch of the Solmux Advance Jam event at SM The Block on September 16 where she recreated her viral dance videos.

As a health advocate, Rivera stressed the importance of not compromising on her family’s health, even for a cough.

“It’s like fire. It could get worse really fast. Cough with phlegm, if not addressed immediately, may lead to flu, pneumonia, or bronchitis. That’s why it’s important to have an advance mindset,” she emphasized.
