The others include Hwang Ha-na, the maternal granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy Products, and aspiring singer Han Seo-hee, Korean media Kookmin Ilbo reported on Oct. 21.

Hwang Ha-na and Han Seo-hee were previously convicted for drug use and were linked to drug scandals involving K-pop artists.

Korean media reported that the police suspect that Lee Sun-kyun, Hwang Ha-na and others took drugs at entertainment establishments in Gangnam, Seoul.

While the police were tracking the distribution of drugs in Gangnam in September, they came across clues related to Lee Sun-kyun and Hwang Ha-na.

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun filed a complaint with the prosecution against one of the persons being investigated by the police and another person for blackmail.

“Lee Sun-kyun has been receiving continuous blackmail and threats from people related to the incident.  We are confirming the exact facts of the suspicions raised. We will faithfully participate in investigations by investigative agencies with a sincere attitude,” said Hodu&U Entertainment, Lee Sun-kyun’s agency.

Korean media reported that the two people extorted money amounting to 300 million won (about $222,000) from the actor. — Jonathan Hicap
