Successful enterprising businessman, DanceSport enthusiast and Board of Director of Philippine DanceSport Federation Girme Gutierrez celebrated his birthday with his Angels, Joanne and Joy on May 6 at the Green Meadows Clubhouse.
The celebration started with a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ. After a sumptuous Japanese dinner, guests were treated by dance numbers from the celebrants’ grandchildren and four daughters. There were also exhibitions from Dance Sport champions.
Guests danced the night away to Replay band’s ’60s and ’70s repertoire. DJ Bob also provided music.
Happy birthday dear Girme and more dancing years to come!

Meanwhile, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions’ (CITEM) Executive Director, Dr. Edward Fereira Ph.D. has always been a trailblazer –mhaving remarkable distinctions in science, business, diplomacy, and leadership. Now, he takes on a new journey as the leader of the agency that elevates export-quality Philippine products and services.
Dr. Fereira puts into good use his years of diplomatic experience to fulfill CITEM’s mandate as the export promotions arm of the country’s Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Within his first 100 days, he had already mounted “Tanyag: An Evening with International Trade Partners” which gathered key partners, stakeholders, and had President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. as its guest of honor.
It underscored CITEM’s signature events: Manila FAME, IFEX Philippines, CREATEPhilippines, and Sustainability Solutions Exchange or SSX. Dr. Fereira intends to intensify export promotions with CITEM’s maxim “Produktong Pilipino para sa Pilipino at sa Buong Mundo.” It signifies the agency’s support for renowned and emerging Filipino MSMEs; unyielding intention towards elevating our export services; and promoting world-class talents.
As a man of many firsts, Dr. Fereira surely is up to the challenge of taking CITEM into new and uncharted directions.
