People are familiar with her as the young child featured in a commercial for a local fast-food restaurant alongside her twin brother and her father, who is well-known in the entertainment field.
Yes, that girl is Atasha Muhlach. And now, she is prepared to establish her own identity and exhibit her talents in singing and acting.
There has been ongoing speculation about whether the Muhlach twins would pursue careers akin to their famous parents. However, the time has finally arrived for Atasha to step into the spotlight and forge her own path within the entertainment industry.
Atasha, along with her twin brother Andres, was born into a prominent celebrity family, with her parents being the iconic couple Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales. With showbiz lineage on both sides, it comes as no surprise that Atasha eventually entered the world of show business after completing her studies in business school at Nottingham, United Kingdom.
During her contract signing with Viva Artists Agency, Atasha disclosed that her aspiration to join the showbiz industry had been a dream since she was a kid.
“This was something that I’ve always wanted to do, ever since I was 10 years old when I did the Sound of Music. That’s when I realized that I really do love to perform. I love to sing,” shared Atasha.
But to fulfill her parents’ wish, the two of them promised to finish their school first before seriously considering a career in showbiz.
“But at first, it clashed with my school. I needed to focus on my studies first. It was a promise to my parents and to myself,” she continued.
“I would guess, he wasn’t as open because I was still in school. That was always a priority. Now that it’s done, [he said], ‘Okay, you’re ready. Go, spread your wings, and fly,” the 22-year-old artist said.
The showbiz industry is not new for the upcoming star. Growing up, she witnessed her parents do acting in TV series and films. She and Andres may not be active in acting, but, together with their mom and dad, they did TV guestings and commercials.
That is when Viva entered, to fulfill her long-time dream, and when she thought she was ready, her parent supported her decision, and her dad even gave her genuine advice.
“My dad has been nothing but supportive and most caring throughout this whole process, and he’s actually giving me lots of advice [as] to what to expect and, of course, to always be kind to others,” ended Atasha. — Angelica Villanueva
