An exclusive report by Korean media outlet Sports Seoul stated that based on multiple sources from the music industry, Rosé reportedly signed an agreement to renew her contract with YG Entertainment, which launched the group in 2016.

BLACKPINK’s contract with YG Entertainment expired in August.

Meanwhile, Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa are in last-minute discussions with a “separately yet together” strategy of moving to other agencies but spending six months in a year as part of BLACKPINK.

The report said this is similar to the contract method by Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun, who left SM Entertainment but remain in the boy band.

It added that Jisoo and Lisa are allegedly transferring agencies for tens of billions of won in down payment. Each is reportedly transferring to different agencies.

YG Entertainment responded to the latest report but said contracts with the girls are still being discussed.

“BLACKPINK members’ contracts have not been confirmed yet and are being discussed,” the agency said.

A previous report stated that Lisa turned down YG Entertainment’s offer for a contract renewal.
