Kim Chiu emotional on her thoughts about moving on and acceptance

Actress and host Kim Chiu became emotional as she shared her advice on how to move on and accept things.

During the “Especially for You” segment on It’s Showtime, Kim and the other hosts were moved by Fe’s story.

Fe talked about her life story where she got separated from her husband after he cheated on her, but after seven years she accepted him again while rekindling their love for each other and their children.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Fe’s husband died during the pandemic.

After telling Fe’s story, Vice Ganda gave her point of view, that moving on from the death of a loved one is a difficult process.

“Ang hirap. Pinipilit mong mag-move on pero kahit saan ka magpunta, kahit anong gawin mo, nakikita at nararamdaman mo siya. Pupunta ka sa mall, gusto mo mag-enjoy, pero nararamdaman at naaalala mo siya,” Vice shared during the show.

(It’s hard. You try to move on but no matter where you go, no matter what you do, you see and feel him. You go to the mall, you want to take time for yourself and enjoy, but his memories still linger in)

Kim stressed that accepting things helps in moving on from loss.

“Tsaka lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay natin, ‘di naman yon by chance or by accident. Lahat naman ng nangyayari sa buhay natin is written. Ginawa na ‘yon bago pa man tayo pinanganak. Mas madaling tanggapin ang lahat ng bagay,” the actress said while in tears.

(Besides, everything that happens in our lives is not by chance or by accident. Everything that happens in our lives is written. It was done before we were even born. It’s easier to accept everything)

Kim grew emotional while sharing her thoughts on Fe’s story. She believes Fe’s story exemplifies how a situation can shape someone’s personality..

“So, parang lahat ng nangyayari sa bawat tao, like si Mommy Fe, hindi naman nangyari ang paghihiwalay nila by accident. Sadyang itinadhana ‘yon and then binalik sa kanya, and then tinanggal uli sa kanya, and that made her strong,” Kim ended her statement.

(So, like everything that happens to every person, like Mommy Fe, their separation did not happen by accident. It was meant to happen and then they got back together, and she eventually lost but it made her strong)

It can be seen that Kim’s reaction to moving on was a bit heavy for her. In Dec. 2023, Kim and Xian Lim officially called it quits after being together for 11 years. — Carissa Alcantara
