Kuh Ledesma

What an enchanting concert experience! Kuh Ledesma mesmerized the audience at her latest Valentine Concert, “The Diva Sings the Love Songs of the Divas,” hosted at her Hacienda Isabella. The cool mountain breeze, stunning villas, lush pocket gardens, and a delightful dinner buffet created a sensory explosion, setting the stage for a truly magical night.

Kicking off the evening with Barbra Streisand’s lesser-known yet powerful anthem, “The Main Event,” Kuh showcased her enduring brilliance despite a few sound glitches during the first number. She seamlessly transitioned to Celine Dion’s dance-infused hit “I’m Alive,” effortlessly capturing the song’s inspirational essence.

Treating the audience to her recorded Diva classics, “When I Fall In Love” and “The Nearness of You,” Kuh delivered renditions that stand among the best internationally.

She then introduced her surprise guest, her daughter Isabella, who sang Moon River with crystal clear and soaring vocals. It’s fun to watch mother and daughter interact onstage, given Kuh’s cool and calm demeanor harmonizing with Isabella’s bubbly and spunky personality.

Returning with a jazzy rendition of Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are,” Kuh declared it her diva version.

A captivating medley of Zsa Zsa Padilla’s “Ikaw Lamang” showcased Kuh’s emotional depth.

Kuh introduced guest Nathan Randal, a sixteen-year-old Filipino-American with a powerful voice; he delivered Sharon Cuneta’s “Mahawi Man ang Ulap,” which highlighted his exquisite baritone voice. The duets “You Raise Me Up,” and “Beauty and the Beast” showcased Nathan’s bright future in the music industry.

Kuh’s rendition of Whitney Houston’s Bodyguard soundtrack was a highlight, with emotional performances of “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” and “Run to You.”

It was really nice to hear Bo Cerrudo sing duets with Kuh as they sound so good together. They did “I Finally Found Someone” and a captivating take on “How Do You Keep the Music Playing.”

Bo’s edgy take on Barbra Streisand’s “Evergreen” was a delight to the ears.

The Adele medley, featuring “Set Fire to the Rain” and “Rolling in the Deep,” climaxed with a mashup of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor.” Kuh’s on-stage banter added a personal touch, and the audience couldn’t resist dancing during renditions of Cher’s “Believe” and Miley Cyrus’s Grammy-winning “Flowers.”

Concluding with her signature hits “I Think I’m in Love” and “Till I Met You,” Kuh Ledesma’s Valentine concept show at Hacienda Isabella was a trip well worth it – blending cool ambiance, wonderful music, and the sublime voice of Kuh herself.
