Sara bares plans to visit Brunei, Singapore in June

VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte confirmed on Thursday that she will be visiting Brunei Darussalam and Singapore this coming month.

“In June, I will be visiting Brunei Darussalam and Singapore as part of my tenure as the president of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO),” Duterte said in the Partners Convergence event held at the National Museum in Manila.

Duterte was elected to head the SEAMEO Council in February 2023, and is expected to lead until 2025.

SEAMEO is a regional intergovernmental organization established to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture.

“Hopefully, we will be able to learn from the two country’s best practices in the area of education and the other SEAMEO member countries,” Duterte said. — Claire Bernadette Mondares
