Robredo’s ‘Angat Buhay’ launches website

FORMER vice president Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo’s nongovernment organization (NGO) has launched its official website.

In an announcement on its social media platforms on Friday, the Angat Buhay NGO announced that it now has a website that can be accessed at angatbuhay.ph.

“Angat Pinas, Inc. (commonly known as Angat Buhay) is a Filipino non-profit organization that aims to empower Filipinos to become communities of active citizens by mobilizing the largest volunteer network in implementing Bayanihan programs,” according to a description of the organization on the site.

Included are the organization’s mission and vision, as well as its advocacy pillars (public education, public health, disaster relief and rehabilitation, community engagement and empowerment).

“Angat Buhay operates nationwide, implementing programs, projects, and activities with partners and volunteers from different parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and focusing communities with limited access to education, nutrition and health services, as well as disaster-stricken areas,” according to the organization’s “Where We Work” portion, which shows an interactive map of the group’s advocacy pillars.

The website also features the Museo ng Pag-asa, located in Quezon City and is also Robredo’s office, as well as the team and their board of trustees, led by the former vice president, serving as Angat Buhay’s chairman.

Robredo, who ran for president last year, launched the Angat Buhay NGO, with herself as the chairman and Raffy Magno serving as its executive director. Apart from their newly-launched website, Angat Buhay can also be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. — Aric John Sy Cua
