Don Valley Parkway closed from Bloor Street to Don Mills Road for police investigation

The Don Valley Parkway was closed in both directions from Bloor Street to Don Mills Road for a police investigation on for several hours on Thursday.

The closure began shortly after 4 p.m. and was still in place as of 11 p.m. Police have said they’re unsure when it will fully reopen.

Police said earlier they were dealing with a person in crisis on the Leaside Bridge. Motorists were told to expect delays.

“The closure of the DVP is to ensure safety of drivers,” Toronto police said in an email on Thursday.

The Leaside Bridge was also closed in both directions.

The Lower Don River Trail was also closed in both directions to cyclists and pedestrians from 425 Don Mills Road to Beechwood Drive on Thursday evening.

Toronto paramedics said they were on the scene with police.
