Manila probes incident of toppled electric posts

THE Manila City government will investigate the incident on Thursday in which several Meralco posts toppled as police closed the surrounding area and advised motorists to take alternate routes.

There were no reported casualties in the 1 p.m. incident along the corner of Quintin Paredes and Ongpin Streets.

At least eight vehicles and one bicycle were damaged.

The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) is currently investigating the incident while the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) said the area of Plaza Ruiz has been closed.
