PDEA: Over P76-M worth of cocaine seized at NAIA during interdiction operation

Government anti-narcotics operatives seized on Thursday, Sept. 28, more than P76 million worth of cocaine following the arrest of two inbound passengers from Doha, Qatar during an interdiction operation at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino international Airport (NAIA).

In an initial report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said that Siti Aishah Binte and Nur Alaviya Binti Hanaffe were nabbed at around 1 a.m. at the Customs International Arrival Area of the airport during the operation.

Upon the search, the operating unit confiscated one green luggage containing four tin cans and two cylindrical containers where 341 pieces of pellets with white powdered substance suspected to be cocaine were concealed, two tin cans placed inside a duffle bag which had 223 pieces of  pellets containing white powdered substance suspected to be cocaine, one identification card, two passports, two boarding passes, two baggage declaration form, two baggage tags and two cellular phones.

The operation was carried out by the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG).
