Kris Aquino’s health improves, asks for continuous prayers

Kris Aquino shared good news with her followers on Monday — some of her health indicators showed positive progress.

“Thank you for your continued prayers, I don’t have my complete blood panel results yet but gumanda my inflammatory numbers [my inflammatory numbers have improved], in particular my C-reactive protein and my E-sedimentation rate,” the erstwhile Queen of All Media wrote on her Instagram account @krisaquino, adding that her remaining blood tests will come out in the coming days.

But Aquino admitted that her blood count is still far from ideal.

“As always i’m still very anemic..it’s been a problem even before my autoimmune conditions were diagnosed.

“I don’t know what good I did but I know I’m surviving all the side effects of methotrexate and my biological injectable because God is listening to all your prayers for my healing.”

Aquino said she’s looking forward to reaching remission in 18 to 20 months, and six months thereafter, securing clearance from her doctors so she can finally come home.

“I miss my sisters, my cousins, my PH doctors, my close friends, and of course all of you… It’s already been 16 months.”

Seemingly in good spirits, she also shared a silver lining in her ordeal — finding and settling in her rental home that has an unobstructed view of the sea and has access to “fresh, cool sea breeze.” It’s also just 10 minutes away from one of her doctors.

Aquino also took the opportunity to clarify that she is not in a relationship.

Rumors of Aquino and Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste started circulating in January this year. In July, she revealed the breakup citing the difficulty of maintaining a long-distance relationship.

“We no longer communicate, and my sons and I feel more peaceful. No details because I value my privacy and respect his, and I chose to only give the facts that should be addressed.

“Again, thank you for your compassion to keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers,” she ended.

Leviste responded to the post with a simple, “Thank you.” — Christina Alpad
