PAGASA said “extreme caution” is needed in areas including Iba, Zambales; Clark Airport, Pampanga; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Baler, Aurora; Casiguran, Aurora; Abucay, Bataan; and Subic Bay, Olangapo City with a heat index of 37°C.

PAGASA warned of heat cramps and exhaustion in areas under “extreme caution” level, as heat stroke is also probable.

Meanwhile, PAGASA recorded a “dangerous” heat index in La Union at 46°C, which may cause heat stroke during continuing activity. — Lizst Torres Abello
