BATANGAS – A 25-year old man who was accused of setting a house on fire in San Pascual town in 2018 was arrested by joint elements of police here on Monday, June 19, in Rosario town, also in this province.
Batangas Police director Col. Rainario De Chavez in his report to Police Regional Office 4A director Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces identified the accused as Emhel Reyes, also a resident of San Pascual.
Reyes was listed as the most wanted person at the regional level of the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A), according to the report.
A combined Trakker Team of Rosario Police Regional Intelligence Unit-4A-Provincial Intelligence Team-Batangas, Batangas Maritime Police Station, Special Operations Unit 3, and Maritime Group served an alias warrant of arrest against the suspect.
The warrant was issued by presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 8 in Batangas City dated August 2, 2019, with no bail recommended.
Based on police records, on June 9, 2018, at around 9:30 a.m. in San Pascual town, the suspect set on fire the house of couple Reynaldo and Leticia Hornilla which caused an estimated damage of P100,000.
The accused is now in the custody of Rosario Police for proper documentation and legal procedure.
